El temps que passa [The Time That Passes]

Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? Life appeared on Earth around 3.8 billion years ago. Of course, we don’t remember it. We weren’t there. Before us, there were other life forms: some live on today, others are no longer here. How does the Earth record the passage of time? How do we? What are memories and how are they constructed? Where does the individual end and the collective begin? Can we look at specific organisms or should we always consider whole ecosystems? Why do flowers and pollinators not always find each other? Does time pass differently for them?

Woolf is a dance piece based on the work of Virginia Woolf. On stage, the dancer Natalia Jiménez and the pianist Jordina Millà occupy and question the abstract terrain of what is recognisable, predictable and identity-related. To do so, they use sound, words, gestures, movement and reflections on time.
