International Perfumery Competition Mouilliette d'Argent

Mouillette d’Argent is the International Perfumery Competition whose purpose is to publicize the profession of perfumer and promote its young promises. For the first time, the VII edition of the competition will be held, this year, in the city of Barcelona. More than 100 perfumers from all over the world have presented their creations, of which 14 have been finalists. Between June 4 and 14, the lobby of the main building of the Julio Muñoz Ramonet Foundation will become a voting point where the public can rate which is the best perfume in the competition. The awards ceremony will be held on Friday 14 June in the foundation’s garden, where the perfume industry will gather and the city will become the world capital of perfume for one day.

The biography of the controversial businessman Julio Muñoz Ramonet is extremely juicy. In parallel with the creation of his industrial empire, the parties at the Palau on Muntaner Street were followed by selected outings to mythical venues of the post-war era such as the Casa Llibre (where he met the malaguanyada prostitute Carmen Broto), the Monterrey, the Cortijo or the Parrilla del Ritz. Apart from the private ones that, in the company of his brother, he organized in the building on Passeig de Gràcia. An excuse that will help us remember how and where the economic and political elite of post-war Barcelona had fun. Spaces for leisure and fun that have become part of the sentimental history of the city of Barcelona.

Festival SIMFÒNIC
Concert
On Saturday, June 8 from 6 p.m., 1,950 students from music schools and musical organizations in Barcelona will perform 39 simultaneous concerts in the fourteenth edition of the Festival SIMFÒNIC. All the concerts of Festival SIMFÒNIC they are held for free and with free access, without prior reservation, in all districts of the city. The garden of the foundation will this year host the concert of the Acadèmia Marshall, created in 1901 by Enrique Granados and which has trained a whole generation of great musicians who have stood out both nationally and internationally.
